5 Simple steps to lock down your skincare!

So how do we look after our skin during lockdown, as stressfull as this is we do have a little more time on our hands. So lets USE some of that time to making great choices for your skin.

  1. Sleep well, easy to say I know. However a good nights sleep is crucial for good skin, try winding down at night switch off phones, ipads etc, drinks some cammoile tea, eat magnesium rich nuts, spritz lavender on your pillow. In fact invest in a silk pillow slip.
  2. Double cleanse before you go to bed, ideally with an oil based pre-cleanser to remove dirt and make up then a cleasner most suited to your skin type to actually clean your skin. This way your skin gets to work, plus your pillow slip remains cleaner for longer. Double plus, you will only need a quick freshen up in the morning.
  3. Drink water, try the 30 day challenge. Increase your water intake to 2 litres and hydrate from the inside out – yes you will pee a lot to start with but if you drink small glasses often during the day it is easier.
  4. Eat berries every day, include blueberries and strawberries. Anti oxidants are essential for skin health  and repair, they help feed the skin from within and are essential for the skin’s  integrity.
