What is Plasma?
Plasma Fibroblasting is a skin tightening, lifting and rejuvenating treatment, designed to dramatically repair and reverse the effects of skin ageing. Best of all it works is low risk and highly versatile, works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its tip and the natural gasses emitted from just above the skin to form a true “plasma “ (ionized gas) charge. This tiny arc of electricity shortens, contracts and tightens skin instantly. That’s when the real magic of this treatment happens! Your skin’s natural healing process then goes into overdrive and encourages your own body to create new fibroblast cells responsible for development of Collagen and Elastin.
Improvements are visible immediately, but final results will be seen after twelve weeks. The number of procedures needed per person will vary according to the area being treated, skin laxity, and individual’s age and response to the treatment. However, most are satisfied with a total of one to three procedures per area.
During Treatment
Treatment takes between 1-3 hours, Skin can feel itchy and you can apply a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area – this will need a patch test.
Post Treatment
Skin can feel like you have sunburn, skin can be dry and itchy and there may be some swelling. This is all normal. We will give you full aftercare to manage this. Nothing is applied to the area post treatment – NO make up for 48 hours whilst carbon crusts are healing.
5 Days Post Treatment
Most carbon crusts have dropped off and skin may still be pink, follow after care and be religious with your SPF
12 Weeks Post Treatment
Skin will have regenerated and pinkness gone, full results can be seen. You will be advised how to maintain your skin
2 Years
Results can often still be seen up to 2 years and usually longer, we would advise always wear SPF
